AI deployed into daily operations — UPS ORION
Engineer on the implementation team for UPS ORION, the route-optimization AI that plans driver routes across the U.S. network. Tuned algorithm logic against live operations and trained the supervisors and drivers who had to run it. UPS projected the completed U.S. rollout at roughly 10 million gallons of fuel and more than $300 million in annual savings. The transferable lesson: optimization software only returns value once the people doing the work trust it.
